Just as important as design to the success of your project is the care with which it is installed. Creating kitchens of our caliber is a complex and finely orchestrated process, requiring a range of specialists from cabinet installers to stone masons.
Our skilled installers are valuable team members who have been with us for many years, in some cases for two generations. They will manage your project carefully and professionally with a minimum of disturbance. They are old hands in all kinds of venues from high-rise co-ops in New York City, to new home construction, to the delicate nuances of remodeling classic older homes. Everywhere, they are committed to treating our clients with respect, courtesy and a high level of service. This same team works with you should you ever need any service to insure that a St. Charles of New York kitchen, custom designed and installed today, stays just the way you love it-- for many years to come.
Here is a behind the scenes look at the logistical challenges we solve every day.
It took eight (strong) men to carefully lift in place and install an Italian granite backsplash weighing almost 1,000 pounds. Our designers insisted that it be all one piece for the most striking, seamless look, knowing our experienced team could handle the job.
Our exceptional crews literally demonstrated the highest level of service for a client in Manhattan who wanted a countertop with no seams. Making the top in one piece meant it was too big to fit on, or in, an elevator. So St. Charles of New York stopped traffic and carefully hoisted the countertop up the outside of the building, delivering it safely through a balcony. For our team, the sky truly is the limit.
A countertop of a single piece of Calcutta Gold marble required a fork lift and a crew of four to gingerly maneuver it through a window and position it precisely into place. From there, the integral sink was painstakingly installed and the whole piece was hand detailed. To create countertops like these, St. Charles of New York designers first visited the stone yard to hand select just the right piece, carefully figuring out how the graining would run across the tops for the best look.
Furniture grade cabinetry is carefully wrapped and delivered to your home with kid-glove service. From the truck to the sidewalks of Manhattan to the freight elevators—or just up your driveway-- each piece is treated with TLC by our experienced St. Charles of New York crews.
